Avery Dennison Apparel Solutions partners with Vivienne Tam for New York Fashion Week

Avery Dennison Apparel Solutions was delighted to partner with world-renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam to showcase external embellishments throughout her latest collection, including high-definition heat transfers and woven badges, which debuted during New York Fashion Week, September 8-15.

Born in Guangzhou, China, Tam’s family moved to Hong Kong when she was three years old, and it was there that she attended Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Now a longtime resident of New York City, her eponymous brand is heavily influenced by her rich Chinese culture, East/West fusion, and the modern fashion scenes of NYC.

Vivienne Tam contacted Avery Dennison Apparel Solutions  to discuss her upcoming collection after visiting our Customer Design and Innovation Center (CDIC) in New York City. She wanted to see firsthand our creative collaborations with other halo brand partners. The result: an inspired design concept.

"Visiting Apparel Solutions' Customer Design and Information Center was a valuable experience for developing this collection," said Vivienne. "The team's flexibility throughout the design process was key to a successful collaboration, as they were able to meet our wants and needs."

The high-energy September 12 show put a spotlight our products, which integrated nicely into the SS17 collection, was inspired by the vibrant diversity and energy of Houston, Texas, a multicultural cornucopia, according to Vivienne Tam’s show notes.
