Ignacio Walker is the vice president and assistant general counsel of Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) for Avery Dennison Corporation. He was appointed to his current position in January 2013. In this role, Ignacio leads the RBIS Legal Team, where he oversees contracts, intellectual property, litigation, subsidiaries’ corporate work, tax, labor, M&A transactional work and integration, secured transactions, and all administrative law matters.

In January 2016, Ignacio was also appointed as commercial general manager, Latin America, for RBIS. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Ignacio drives the overall commercial strategy for Latin America from sales, to manufacturing, to service, providing an optimal experience for our customers in Central America, Mexico and South America.

Ignacio joined Avery Dennison in 2006 as counsel, South America. He was soon promoted to senior counsel, Latin America before stepping into the role of vice president and assistant general counsel, Latin America. In 2011, Ignacio was appointed vice president and assistant general counsel, EMEA, after which he was promoted to vice president and assistant general counsel for RBIS. Ignacio’s experience in corporate and commercial law, global trade strategy, compliance, values, and ethics, as well as his extensive experience in Latin America and Europe, continue to serve RBIS well.

Before joining RBIS, Ignacio held the position of foreign associate for Latham & Watkins LLP. His role incorporated M&A advisory, financial collaborations, capital markets and securities, and outbound investments where he represented U.S. and European multinational enterprises doing business in Latin American countries.

Ignacio is a graduate of the Catholic University of Argentina School of Law and holds a Masters in Comparative and International Law from Southern Methodist University. In addition to being licensed to practice law in Argentina, in 2015, Ignacio obtained his license to practice law in the State of New York. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
