Designer showcase: Spring Summer 17

Spring Summer ‘17 and beyond!

Avery Dennison RBIS is proud of the ongoing partnerships it has with Christopher Ræburn, Astrid Andersen and Vivienne Tam. For Spring Summer '17, each designer utilized a plethora of Avery Dennison RBIS' capabilities to bold effect, from heat transfers to external embellishments, Component WeaveTM Technology, branding and embellishment solutions, and even show invites!

The inspiration behind the collections

Christopher Ræburn made a giant leap with his SS17 runway show at London Fashion Week Men’s. The forward-thinking collection championed sustainable fashion, utilizing our latest innovations, featuring High Definition Component WeaveTM  and woven badges made with recycled yarn.

Astrid Andersen employed bold branding in lettering and logos, to create a collection which is unapologetically and unmistakably Astrid. From the outset the branding was familiar, but the color palette delved dramatically into evocative desert-like tones. Sand colored suedes, snakeskin embroidered badges and golden tasseled scarves worn as sashes were paired with billowing fabrics to stunning effect.

Vivienne Tam is the first fashion designer to officially use NASA’s logo and is known for pioneering global collaborations between fashion and technology. The collection debuted during New York Fashion Week and effortlessly blended her cultural roots with a modern design vocabulary. Vivienne Tam took full inspiration from a recent trip to Houston, and channeled it into dresses collaged with Avery Dennison RBIS embroideries, woven heat transfers, and appliqués encompassing the city’s highlights
